The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 144% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2019; afterwards, it flattened through to 2021.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per ton), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Among the main importing countries, Kyrgyzstan, with a CAGR of +75.2%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.

In 2021, the import price in Central Asia amounted to $X per ton, which is down by -8.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the import price increased by 43% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
