While the share of Kazakhstan (+5.5 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+3.8 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest filling containers machinery supplier in Central Asia, comprising 66% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 6.6% share of total exports.

In Kazakhstan, filling containers machinery exports increased at an average annual rate of +9.3% over the period from 2012-2021.

Filling containers machinery imports surged to X units in 2021, growing by 22% on the previous year. Overall, imports showed a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 185%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, filling containers machinery imports fell slightly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports posted a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 70% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2020, and then dropped slightly in the following year.

Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +11.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, waning by -18.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 168%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2018 to 2021, the import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per unit), while Kazakhstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkmenistan (+1.2%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
