In 2021, after three years of growth, there was decline in the Central Asian market for mixed condiments, sauses and seasonings, when its value decreased by -1.3% to $X. In general, consumption showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of consumption peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exports fell slightly to $X in 2021. Uzbekistan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of Uzbekistan (+3.2 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Kazakhstan (-4.2 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest mixed condiment, sause and seasoning supplier in Central Asia, comprising 96% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 2.8% share of total exports.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported mixed condiments, sauses and seasonings in Central Asia, comprising 47% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by Mongolia, with a 14% share.

In Kazakhstan, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning imports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Uzbekistan (+13.3% per year) and Mongolia (+7.2% per year).
