Kazakhstan prevails in exports structure, accounting for X units, which was approx. 95% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X units), making up a 4.7% share of total exports.

Exports from Kazakhstan decreased at an average annual rate of -7.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+25.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +25.5% from 2012-2022. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Uzbekistan increased by +4.5 percentage points.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest non-electric industrial furnace supplier in Central Asia, comprising 87% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 13% share of total exports.

In 2022, purchases abroad of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens decreased by -4.2% to X units, falling for the second consecutive year after four years of growth. Overall, imports, however, posted buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 229%. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace imports expanded markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 207% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Uzbekistan (X units) was the largest importer of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens, creating 71% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X units), comprising a 17% share of total imports. Tajikistan (X units), Kyrgyzstan (X units) and Mongolia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Uzbekistan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens. In value terms, Uzbekistan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens in Central Asia, comprising 83% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with an 8.6% share of total imports. It was followed by Tajikistan, with a 4.2% share.

In Uzbekistan, non-electric industrial furnace imports increased at an average annual rate of +4.9% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kazakhstan (-1.1% per year) and Tajikistan (+2.5% per year).
