In value terms, aromatic monoamines imports expanded significantly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 140%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Kazakhstan was the largest importer of other aromatic monoamines and their derivatives, salts thereof in Central Asia, with the volume of imports accounting for X tons, which was near 70% of total imports in 2021. Uzbekistan (X tons) held a 23% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Kyrgyzstan (4.9%).

Imports into Kazakhstan decreased at an average annual rate of -10.4% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+59.8%) and Kyrgyzstan (+11.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +59.8% from 2012-2021. Uzbekistan (+23 p.p.) and Kyrgyzstan (+4.2 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by -7.4% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported other aromatic monoamines and their derivatives, salts thereof in Central Asia, comprising 74% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 13% share of total imports.

In Kazakhstan, aromatic monoamines imports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Uzbekistan (+18.8% per year) and Kyrgyzstan (+15.0% per year).
