In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest respiration apparatus supplier in Central Asia, comprising 87% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with an 11% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Kazakhstan stood at +28.7%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Uzbekistan (+64.0% per year) and Kyrgyzstan (+24.4% per year).

In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 208% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then reduced in the following year.
In value terms, respiration apparatus imports reduced dramatically to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a strong increase. Uzbekistan represented the major importing country with an import of about X tons, which reached 60% of total imports. Kazakhstan (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Tajikistan (X tons) and Mongolia (X tons). All these countries together took near 36% share of total imports. Kyrgyzstan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Uzbekistan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the ozone therapy, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, respiration apparatus imports, with a CAGR of +119.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Tajikistan (+65.5%), Mongolia (+32.4%), Kyrgyzstan (+5.0%) and Kazakhstan (+4.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. While the share of Uzbekistan (+60 p.p.), Tajikistan (+8.5 p.p.) and Mongolia (+3 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Kyrgyzstan (-7.1 p.p.) and Kazakhstan (-63.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Uzbekistan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported ozone therapy, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, respiration apparatus in Central Asia, comprising 47% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 22% share of total imports. It was followed by Tajikistan, with an 18% share.
In Uzbekistan, respiration apparatus imports increased at an average annual rate of +93.2% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kazakhstan (-2.1% per year) and Tajikistan (+68.0% per year).
