Kyrgyzstan (X tons) held a 19% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Uzbekistan (6.4%). The following importers - Mongolia (X tons) and Tajikistan (X tons) - each reached a 3.3% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to paper sack and bag imports into Kazakhstan stood at +5.9%. At the same time, Kyrgyzstan (+13.5%), Mongolia (+10.3%) and Tajikistan (+7.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Kyrgyzstan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +13.5% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Uzbekistan (-13.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported paper sacks and bags in Central Asia, comprising 78% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 5.8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Kazakhstan totaled +5.6%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Kyrgyzstan (+7.2% per year) and Uzbekistan (-7.1% per year).
