The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Kazakhstan (X tons) was the main importer of perfumed bath salts and other bath preparations, achieving 70% of total imports. Mongolia (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 19% share, followed by Kyrgyzstan (6%). Uzbekistan (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.
Imports into Kazakhstan decreased at an average annual rate of -3.7% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Mongolia (+11.7%) and Uzbekistan (+11.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Mongolia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +11.7% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Kyrgyzstan (-2.7%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Mongolia and Uzbekistan increased by +13 and +1.7 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported perfumed bath salts and other bath preparations in Central Asia, comprising 72% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Mongolia ($X), with a 19% share of total imports. It was followed by Kyrgyzstan, with a 4.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Kazakhstan stood at -4.4%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Mongolia (+8.8% per year) and Kyrgyzstan (-11.3% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Central Asia amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 41% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a slight contraction. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, major importing countries recorded the following prices: in Kazakhstan ($X per ton) and Mongolia ($X per ton), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton) and Uzbekistan ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kazakhstan (-0.7%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
