In 2022, overseas shipments of porcelain or china tableware and kitchenware decreased by -46.6% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Uzbekistan dominates exports structure, reaching X tons, which was approx. 94% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tons), constituting a 5.1% share of total exports.
Uzbekistan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the porcelain or china tableware and kitchenware exports, with a CAGR of +11.3% from 2012 to 2022. Kazakhstan (-1.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per ton), while Uzbekistan stood at $X per ton.

Imports in Central Asia
Porcelain tableware and kitchenware imports dropped sharply to X tons in 2022, falling by -53% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 56% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then contracted sharply in the following year.
In value terms, porcelain tableware and kitchenware imports declined notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 120%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2021, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.

In 2022, Uzbekistan (X tons), distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tons), Mongolia (X tons), Tajikistan (X tons) and Turkmenistan (X tons) were the key importers of porcelain or china tableware and kitchenware, together committing 100% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of +31.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
