Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate strong growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Kyrgyzstan (X tons) and Kazakhstan (X tons) represented the largest importers of canned vegetables in 2022, amounting to approx. 46% and 33% of total imports, respectively. Uzbekistan (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total imports with a 12% share, followed by Mongolia (4.9%). Turkmenistan (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the import price increased by 21%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
