By contrast, Kyrgyzstan (-3.0%), Turkmenistan (-7.6%), Mongolia (-15.1%) and Tajikistan (-15.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Uzbekistan (+10 p.p.) and Kazakhstan (+9.4 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Tajikistan (-3.2 p.p.) and Mongolia (-16.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported PVC floor, wall and ceiling coverings in Central Asia, comprising 77% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by Mongolia, with a 5.7% share.

In Kazakhstan, imports of PVC floor, wall and ceiling coverings decreased by an average annual rate of -1.8% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Uzbekistan (+25.9% per year) and Mongolia (-12.0% per year).
