In 2021, shipments abroad of rubber tubing not reinforced increased by 57% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after three years of decline. From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mongolia (+19.6%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Imports in Central Asia
In 2021, the amount of rubber tubing not reinforced imported in Central Asia surged to X tons, jumping by 33% on the year before. Over the period under review, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 50%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, non-reinforced rubber tubing imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a resilient increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 38% against the previous year. Kazakhstan (X tons) and Uzbekistan (X tons) prevails in imports structure, together committing 85% of total imports. From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Uzbekistan (with a CAGR of +63.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Uzbekistan ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Mongolia ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, together accounting for 94% of total imports.
Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +80.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Central Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, declining by -7.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a buoyant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the import price increased by 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2020, and then dropped in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mongolia ($X per ton), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Mongolia (+13.0%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
