In general, consumption recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Exports by Country
Kazakhstan prevails in exports structure, reaching X kg, which was near 90% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X kg), creating an 8.3% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to secateurs exports from Kazakhstan stood at +36.9%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+70.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +70.0% from 2012-2021. Uzbekistan (+8.3 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by -9.7% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest secateurs supplier in Central Asia, comprising 87% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 9.8% share of total exports.

Export Prices by Country
The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, increasing by 10% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a slight increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the export price increased by 120%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2021, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per ton), while Kazakhstan stood at $X per ton.

Imports in Central Asia
In 2021, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of secateurs and similar one-handed pruners and shears, when their volume decreased by -10.5% to X tons. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 362%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2020, and then shrank in the following year.
In value terms, secateurs imports totaled $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 158% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.
Imports by Country
Kazakhstan represented the main importing country with an import of around X tons, which accounted for 64% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X tons) and Kyrgyzstan (X tons), together generating a 35% share of total imports.
Imports into Kazakhstan increased at an average annual rate of +32.7% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+114.0%) and Kyrgyzstan (+7.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Central Asia, with a CAGR of +114.0% from 2012-2021. While the share of Uzbekistan (+24 p.p.) and Kazakhstan (+19 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Kyrgyzstan (-40.6 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported secateurs and similar one-handed pruners and shears in Central Asia, comprising 79% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 14% share of total imports.
In Kazakhstan, secateurs imports increased at an average annual rate of +23.0% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Uzbekistan (+28.9% per year) and Kyrgyzstan (+11.0% per year).
Import Prices by Country

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per ton), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kyrgyzstan (+3.7%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
