Kazakhstan prevails in exports structure, resulting at X units, which was near 97% of total exports in 2021. Kyrgyzstan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Kazakhstan was also the fastest-growing in terms of the self-propelled earth moving, excavating machinery exports, with a CAGR of +36.3% from 2012 to 2021. Kyrgyzstan (-9.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Kyrgyzstan (+3 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Kazakhstan (-3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) remains the largest self-propelled excavating machinery supplier in Central Asia, comprising 73% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with a 6% share of total exports.

The export price in Central Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, surging by 168% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a deep slump. By contrast, Uzbekistan (-25.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Kazakhstan (+43 p.p.), Kyrgyzstan (+5.5 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+4.5 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported self-propelled earth moving, excavating machinery in Central Asia, comprising 90% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kyrgyzstan ($X), with a 4.4% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Kazakhstan totaled +2.8%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kyrgyzstan (+17.0% per year) and Uzbekistan (-22.3% per year).
