Strawberry Market Size in Central Asia

After two years of growth, the Central Asian strawberry market decreased by -99.1% to $X in 2022. In general, consumption continues to indicate a sharp descent. The level of consumption peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, consumption remained at a lower figure.

Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, strawberry imports contracted notably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a abrupt decline. Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in Central Asia amounted to $X per ton, surging by 9.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the import price increased by 57% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Mongolia ($X per ton), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
