After two years of growth, the Central Asian television receiver market decreased by -8.3% to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, consumption, however, continues to indicate a pronounced downturn. As a result, consumption attained the peak level of $X. Kazakhstan was the main exporting country with an export of about X units, which finished at 70% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Uzbekistan (X units), constituting a 28% share of total exports.

Over the period under review, imports enjoyed a moderate expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 172%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, television receiver imports rose remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports posted tangible growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 63%. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, Kazakhstan (X units) represented the largest importer of television receivers, comprising 46% of total imports. Kyrgyzstan (X units) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Mongolia (X units), Uzbekistan (X units), Turkmenistan (X units) and Tajikistan (X units).
