By contrast, Mongolia (-37.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Kazakhstan (+77 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+7.5 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Mongolia saw its share reduced by -85.3% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Kazakhstan ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported travel sets in Central Asia, comprising 86% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Uzbekistan ($X), with a 9.1% share of total imports. It was followed by Mongolia, with a 1.7% share.

In Kazakhstan, travel set imports expanded at an average annual rate of +15.7% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Uzbekistan (+52.1% per year) and Mongolia (-44.7% per year).
