Triticale Market Size in Central Asia

In 2022, the Central Asian triticale market decreased by -68.6% to $X for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, consumption continues to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. Imports in Central Asia

After three years of growth, overseas purchases of triticale decreased by -34.2% to X tons in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 257%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then shrank sharply in the following year.

In value terms, triticale imports stood at $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, posted buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 242% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

Kazakhstan (X tons) and Uzbekistan (X tons) dominates imports structure, together committing 95% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Turkmenistan (X tons), comprising a 4.8% share of total imports.
