For the third consecutive year, Chile recorded growth in purchases abroad of automatic circuit breakers, which increased by 30% to X units in 2022. In general, imports posted a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 52% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, circuit breaker imports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a remarkable increase. China (X units), France (X units) and India (X units) were the main suppliers of circuit breaker imports to Chile, with a combined 68% share of total imports. Japan, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Argentina, the United States and Sweden lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 18%.
