Italy (X tons), China (X tons) and Brazil (X tons) were the main destinations of leather exports from Chile, together accounting for 87% of total exports.

Imports by Country
In 2021, Brazil (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of leather to Chile, with a 74% share of total imports. Moreover, leather imports from Brazil exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), sevenfold. Argentina (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Brazil was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: China (+2.5% per year) and Argentina (-11.5% per year).
In value terms, Brazil ($X) constituted the largest supplier of leather to Chile, comprising 79% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by China ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Argentina, with a 12% share.
