Imports into Chile
Aircraft tyre imports into Chile fell notably to X units in 2021, shrinking by -48.2% against the year before. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 130% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, aircraft tyre imports shrank to $X in 2021. Overall, total imports indicated a notable increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -19.7% against 2017 indices.
