Over the period under review, imports showed noticeable growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 75% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, imports of wood chips, parts, residues, pellets and other agglomerates surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports showed strong growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

France (X cubic meters), the United States (X cubic meters) and Bolivia (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of imports of wood chips, parts, residues, pellets and other agglomerates to Chile, with a combined 60% share of total imports.
