The Chinese concrete mixer market stood at $X in 2021, approximately reflecting the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption continues to indicate a perceptible slump. Concrete Mixer Production in China

In value terms, concrete mixer production amounted to $X in 2021 estimated in export price. In general, production showed a perceptible slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the production volume increased by 7.5% against the previous year. The United States (X units), Russia (X units) and Romania (X units) were the main destinations of concrete mixer exports from China, together accounting for 34% of total exports. Ukraine, Myanmar, the UK, Chile, Germany, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, France, Portugal and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 36%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Myanmar (with a CAGR of +38.0%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for concrete mixer exported from China were Russia ($X), the United States ($X) and Romania ($X), with a combined 17% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Ukraine, the UK, Kazakhstan, Chile, Germany, Myanmar, the Czech Republic, France, Italy and Portugal, which together accounted for a further 15%.

In terms of the main countries of destination, France, with a CAGR of +30.6%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average concrete mixer export price amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a pronounced slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when the average export price increased by 22% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2016 to 2021, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Myanmar ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into China

In 2021, supplies from abroad of concrete or mortar mixers decreased by -42.3% to X units, falling for the fourth consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, imports showed a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 2,537% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, concrete mixer imports dropped significantly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 81% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

Imports by Country

Germany (X units), Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) and Japan (X units) were the main suppliers of concrete mixer imports to China, with a combined 88% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Spain and the United Arab Emirates, which together accounted for a further 10%.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Spain (with a CAGR of +22.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In value terms, Germany ($X) constituted the largest supplier of concrete or mortar mixers to China, comprising 56% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Spain ($X), with a 22% share of total imports. It was followed by Japan, with a 9.1% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Germany amounted to -5.9%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Spain (+62.8% per year) and Japan (-8.5% per year).

In 2021, the average concrete mixer import price amounted to $X per unit, declining by -8.2% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a modest expansion. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Spain ($X per unit), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
