Over the period under review, total imports indicated a measured expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +92.8% against 2015 indices. Import Prices by Country
The average copper pipe and fitting import price stood at $X per ton in 2021, with an increase of 19% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Hong Kong SAR ($X per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
