From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to India totaled +54.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Vietnam (+31.9% per year) and Japan (+39.9% per year).

In 2022, imports of marble and travertine into China plummeted to X tons, which is down by -27.3% on 2021 figures. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a precipitous curtailment. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 97% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, marble and travertine crude imports fell dramatically to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 47% against the previous year. Over the period under review, crude imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Italy (X tons), Portugal (X tons) and Turkey (X tons) were the main suppliers of marble and travertine crude imports to China, with a combined 62% share of total imports. Iran, Greece, Namibia, Tunisia, Spain, Egypt and Pakistan lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.
