The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 17% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker exports declined markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 31%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.

The United States (X units) was the main destination for electric oven and cooker exports from China, with a 19% share of total exports. Moreover, electric oven and cooker exports to the United States exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Vietnam (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Thailand (X units), with a 4.7% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to the United States totaled +2.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Vietnam (+18.6% per year) and Thailand (+8.6% per year).

In value terms, the United States ($X) remains the key foreign market for electric ovens, cookers, cooking plates, boiling rings, grillers and roasters exports from China, comprising 24% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($X), with a 5.9% share of total exports. It was followed by Japan, with a 5% share.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 75% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, electric oven and cooker imports fell to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 53%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

South Korea (X units), Japan (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of electric oven and cooker imports to China, with a combined 73% share of total imports. France, Spain, Italy and Malaysia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 16%.
