Fire Extinguisher Market Size in China

In 2022, the Chinese fire extinguisher market decreased by -29.1% to $X, falling for the second year in a row after five years of growth. In general, consumption, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Overall, total imports indicated a slight increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +109.2% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 36%. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.

In 2022, South Korea (X units) was the main supplier of fire extinguisher to China, accounting for a 486% share of total imports. Moreover, fire extinguisher imports from South Korea exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Singapore (X units), more than tenfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Malaysia (X units), with a 29% share.

Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Thailand, France and Norway lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 16%.

In terms of the main suppliers, Cyprus, with a CAGR of +142.9%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the average fire extinguisher import price amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 648% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a significant increase. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the price for France ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
