In 2022, the Chinese frozen pork cut market decreased by -60.6% to $X for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, consumption, however, continues to indicate resilient growth. Over the period under review, the market hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then contracted sharply in the following year.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then shrank markedly in the following year.
