The Chinese furnace burner market reduced to $X in 2021, which is down by -9.2% against the previous year. Overall, consumption, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X, and then declined in the following year.

After three years of decline, overseas shipments of furnace burners, mechanical stokers, mechanical grates and mechanical ash dischargers increased by 9.6% to X tons in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 23% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, furnace burner exports totaled $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, showed a slight curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 18%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Exports by Country

Indonesia (X tons) was the main destination for furnace burner exports from China, with a 21% share of total exports. Moreover, furnace burner exports to Indonesia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Pakistan (X tons), threefold. Malaysia (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 5.6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Indonesia stood at +2.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Pakistan (+40.7% per year) and Malaysia (-5.0% per year).

In value terms, Indonesia ($X), Malaysia ($X) and Kazakhstan ($X) constituted the largest markets for furnace burner exported from China worldwide, with a combined 33% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Vietnam, Iran, Iraq, Thailand, the United States, India, Pakistan, Japan, Uzbekistan and Germany, which together accounted for a further 30%.

Among the main countries of destination, Iraq, with a CAGR of +43.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average furnace burner export price amounted to $X per ton, falling by -8.7% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.4% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, furnace burner export price increased by +65.7% against 2019 indices. Furnace burner imports into China plummeted to X tons in 2021, falling by -34.6% on the year before. In general, imports showed a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 58%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, furnace burner imports shrank significantly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 40%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Italy (X tons) constituted the largest furnace burner supplier to China, accounting for a 43% share of total imports. Moreover, furnace burner imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), threefold.
