The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 18%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Indonesia (X tons) was the main destination for furnace burner exports from China, with a 21% share of total exports. Moreover, furnace burner exports to Indonesia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Pakistan (X tons), threefold. Malaysia (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 5.6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Indonesia stood at +2.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Pakistan (+40.7% per year) and Malaysia (-5.0% per year).

These countries were followed by Vietnam, Iran, Iraq, Thailand, the United States, India, Pakistan, Japan, Uzbekistan and Germany, which together accounted for a further 30%.

Among the main countries of destination, Iraq, with a CAGR of +43.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the average furnace burner export price amounted to $X per ton, falling by -8.7% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.4% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, furnace burner export price increased by +65.7% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 82% against the previous year. Furnace burner imports into China plummeted to X tons in 2021, falling by -34.6% on the year before. In general, imports showed a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 58%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, furnace burner imports shrank significantly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 40%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, Italy (X tons) constituted the largest furnace burner supplier to China, accounting for a 43% share of total imports. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 17%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Finland ($X per ton), while the price for South Korea ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
