Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, non-alloy steel i-sections imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep slump. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
Germany (X tons), the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and South Korea (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-alloy steel i-sections imports to China, together accounting for 58% of total imports. Russia, Thailand, Japan and Luxembourg lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Russia (with a CAGR of +200.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
