Inductor Market Size in China

The Chinese inductor market rose remarkably to $X in 2022, growing by 10% against the previous year. In general, consumption saw buoyant growth. Over the period under review, the market hit record highs at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, consumption remained at a lower figure.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 15%. Imports peaked at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, inductor imports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +74.2% against 2018 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 40% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Imports by Country

The Philippines (X units), Japan (X units) and South Korea (X units) were the main suppliers of inductor imports to China, with a combined 24% share of total imports. Vietnam, India, Mexico, Malaysia and Indonesia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 5.1%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for India (with a CAGR of +10.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.
