Hong Kong SAR (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 12% share.

In value terms, Vietnam ($X) remains the key foreign market for peach and nectarine exports from China, comprising 63% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Hong Kong SAR ($X), with a 13% share of total exports. It was followed by Kyrgyzstan, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Vietnam stood at +6.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Hong Kong SAR (+21.7% per year) and Kyrgyzstan (+94.1% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the average peach and nectarine export price amounted to $X per ton, reducing by -16.6% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.3% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the average export price increased by 23% against the previous year. Imports into China
In 2021, overseas purchases of peaches and nectarines decreased by -9.9% to X tons for the first time since 2015, thus ending a five-year rising trend. In general, imports, however, recorded a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 1,502%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2020, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, peach and nectarine imports shrank to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 1,690% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2020, and then fell in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Chile (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of peach and nectarine to China, with a 78% share of total imports. Moreover, peach and nectarine imports from Chile exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Australia (X tons), fourfold.
From 2014 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Chile stood at +57.0%.
In value terms, Chile ($X) and Australia ($X) appeared to be the largest peach and nectarine suppliers to China.
