Overall, imports continue to indicate a deep contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 71% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, radiator imports fell markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a pronounced decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 57% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of radiator to China, accounting for a 80% share of total imports. Moreover, radiator imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X tons), more than tenfold. Russia (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 4.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Turkey stood at -3.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (-16.5% per year) and Russia (+289.1% per year).
In value terms, Turkey ($X) constituted the largest supplier of radiators for central heating (not electrically heated) to China, comprising 65% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with an 8% share of total imports. It was followed by Germany, with a 4.9% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Turkey totaled -2.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (-12.5% per year) and Germany (-15.1% per year).
