In general, imports, however, recorded a abrupt downturn. In value terms, imports of residential, commercial and industrial lighting fixture rose rapidly to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 29%. Over the period under review, imports of attained the peak figure at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Italy (X units), the United Arab Emirates (X units) and Vietnam (X units) were the main suppliers of imports of residential, commercial and industrial lighting fixture to China, together comprising 47% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of +150.4%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
