The Chinese rum market was estimated at $X in 2022, with an increase of 3% against the previous year. In 2022, Puerto Rico (X litres) constituted the largest supplier of rum to China, with a 53% share of total imports. Moreover, rum imports from Puerto Rico exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the UK (X litres), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was held by the United States (X litres), with a 9.8% share.

Overall, import price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.6% over the last decade.
