South Korea, Thailand, Germany, Cambodia, Malaysia, Australia and Spain lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 26%.
Among the main countries of destination, Cambodia, with a CAGR of +112.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average sawnwood (non-coniferous) export price stood at $X per cubic meter in 2022, declining by -28.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the average export price increased by 46%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per cubic meter. From 2019 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per cubic meter), while the average price for exports to Spain ($X per cubic meter) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into China
In 2022, approx. X cubic meters of sawnwood (non-coniferous) were imported into China; which is down by -2.4% against 2021 figures. In general, imports, however, saw noticeable growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 49% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X cubic meters in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, sawnwood (non-coniferous) imports rose sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a pronounced increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% over the last decade.
