Imports peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, television receiver imports contracted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 391% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then dropped in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, Vietnam (X units) constituted the largest supplier of television receiver to China, with a 89% share of total imports. Moreover, television receiver imports from Vietnam exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Japan (X units), tenfold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Vietnam amounted to +258.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Japan (-19.0% per year) and South Korea (+1.9% per year).
In value terms, Vietnam ($X) constituted the largest supplier of television receivers to China, comprising 96% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Japan ($X), with a 0.8% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Vietnam totaled +310.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Japan (-21.0% per year) and South Korea (+9.4% per year).

In 2022, the average television receiver import price amounted to $X per unit, rising by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 an increase of 84% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
