Tomato Juice Market Size in China

The Chinese tomato juice market rose to $X in 2022, growing by 2.5% against the previous year. Overall, consumption, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the market hit record highs at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 375% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. In 2022, overseas purchases of tomato juice decreased by -25.8% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate tangible growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 98% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, tomato juice imports contracted dramatically to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a prominent expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 130% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Japan (X tons), Cyprus (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main suppliers of tomato juice imports to China, with a combined 93% share of total imports.
