The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the production volume increased by 40% against the previous year. As a result, production reached the peak level of $X. From 2021 to 2022, production growth remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports in CIS
In 2022, overseas shipments of agricultural forestry machinery (lawn or sportsground rollers) decreased by -12.2% to X units for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 110%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, agricultural forestry machinery exports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, posted buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 97%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then declined slightly in the following year.
Exports by Country
In 2022, Russia (X units) was the main exporter of agricultural forestry machinery (lawn or sportsground rollers), mixing up 77% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X units), creating a 19% share of total exports. Moldova (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from Russia increased at an average annual rate of +7.8% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Moldova (+10.0%) and Belarus (+5.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Moldova emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +10.0% from 2012-2022. While the share of Russia (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Belarus (-3.9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest agricultural forestry machinery supplier in the CIS, comprising 70% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a 26% share of total exports.
In Russia, agricultural forestry machinery exports expanded at an average annual rate of +7.4% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belarus (+11.9% per year) and Moldova (-8.3% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in the CIS stood at $X per unit in 2022, surging by 11% against the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the export price increased by 40%. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per unit), while Moldova ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (+5.9%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in CIS
Agricultural forestry machinery imports reached X units in 2022, therefore, remained relatively stable against the year before. In general, imports, however, saw a mild shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 39%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, agricultural forestry machinery imports contracted to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 45% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Russia was the main importing country with an import of about X units, which resulted at 50% of total imports. Kazakhstan (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 19% share, followed by Moldova (12%) and Uzbekistan (8.4%). Belarus (X units) and Azerbaijan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Imports into Russia decreased at an average annual rate of -7.1% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+111.4%), Moldova (+14.9%), Azerbaijan (+11.0%), Kazakhstan (+7.2%) and Belarus (+7.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +111.4% from 2012-2022. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Kazakhstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Azerbaijan increased by +11, +9.6, +8.4, +2.6 and +2.5 percentage points, respectively.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported agricultural forestry machinery (lawn or sportsground rollers) in the CIS, comprising 56% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Uzbekistan ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by Kazakhstan, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia stood at -8.0%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Uzbekistan (+119.7% per year) and Kazakhstan (+3.8% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per unit, shrinking by -3.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a mild curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 33% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per unit), while Kazakhstan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
