From 2012 to 2021, the share of Belarus and Uzbekistan increased by +4.5 and +1.5 percentage points, respectively.
In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest anti-freezing preparations supplier in the CIS, comprising 85% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with an 11% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia was relatively modest. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (+17.0% per year) and Uzbekistan (+13.5% per year).

In 2021, the export price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, growing by 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable decline. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per ton), while Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+25.1%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Imports in CIS
Anti-freezing preparations imports surged to X tons in 2021, growing by 20% on the previous year's figure. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, anti-freezing preparations imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a slight setback. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
Kazakhstan (X tons) and Russia (X tons) were the main importers of anti-freezing preparations and prepared de-icing fluids in 2021, amounting to near 35% and 23% of total imports, respectively. Belarus (X tons) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Kyrgyzstan (X tons) and Azerbaijan (X tons). All these countries together held near 27% share of total imports. The following importers - Moldova (X tons) and Uzbekistan (X tons) - each accounted for an 8.1% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Azerbaijan (with a CAGR of +15.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest anti-freezing preparations importing markets in the CIS were Russia ($X), Kazakhstan ($X) and Belarus ($X), with a combined 76% share of total imports. Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Moldova lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 19%.
Uzbekistan, with a CAGR of +38.4%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in the CIS stood at $X per ton in 2021, growing by 24% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable setback. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while Kyrgyzstan ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+25.9%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
