Total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.0% over the last nine years. Russia prevails in imports structure, reaching X tons, which was near 82% of total imports in 2021. Belarus (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 7.9% share, followed by Kazakhstan (4.5%). Uzbekistan (X tons) held a relatively small share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to antisera imports into Russia stood at +3.6%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+26.1%), Belarus (+23.4%) and Kazakhstan (+8.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +26.1% from 2012-2021. While the share of Belarus (+6 p.p.) and Uzbekistan (+1.7 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Russia (-10.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
