Belarus dominates exports structure, finishing at X tons, which was near 96% of total exports in 2021. Russia (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to band saw blade exports from Belarus stood at +16.8%. At the same time, Russia (+30.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Russia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +30.3% from 2012-2021. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Russia increased by +2.5 percentage points.

In 2021, imports of band saw blades in the CIS skyrocketed to X tons, jumping by 17% on the previous year's figure. Total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +79.0% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 19%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Russia (X tons) represented the major importer of band saw blades, constituting 66% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X tons), creating a 30% share of total imports. Kazakhstan (X tons) took a little share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia was relatively modest. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Belarus (+9.2% per year) and Kazakhstan (+13.6% per year).

The import price in the CIS stood at $X per ton in 2021, increasing by 1.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 7.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (-1.1%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
