In value terms, cored arc-welding wire exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a deep slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 120% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Russia dominates exports structure, resulting at X tons, which was approx. 90% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X tons), constituting a 5.9% share of total exports. Armenia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 30%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, cored arc-welding wire imports soared to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 29%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
