Over the period under review, the exports of attained the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, exports of boards, blocks and similar articles of vegetable fibre, agglomerated with mineral binders surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports saw a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 144% against the previous year. Overall, imports, however, showed a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 20% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, imports of boards, blocks and similar articles of vegetable fibre, agglomerated with mineral binders soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a mild descent. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 25%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports of failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Russia (X tons) represented the largest importer of boards, blocks and similar articles of vegetable fibre, agglomerated with mineral binders, creating 77% of total imports.
