From 2014 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Belarus ($X per ton), while Russia stood at $X per ton.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belarus (+1.8%).

Imports in CIS
In 2021, the amount of brakes and servo-brakes imported in the CIS expanded markedly to X tons, rising by 12% compared with 2020. Total imports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +88.1% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
In value terms, brakes and servo-brakes imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.0% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
Russia dominates imports structure, finishing at X tons, which was approx. 80% of total imports in 2021. Belarus (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Kazakhstan (X tons). All these countries together took near 12% share of total imports. Uzbekistan (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to brakes and servo-brakes imports into Russia stood at +5.4%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+30.3%), Belarus (+6.7%) and Kazakhstan (+3.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Uzbekistan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +30.3% from 2012-2021. Uzbekistan (+3.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Russia saw its share reduced by -4.3% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported brakes and servo-brakes in the CIS, comprising 80% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Belarus ($X), with a 6.5% share of total imports. It was followed by Uzbekistan, with a 5.6% share.
In Russia, brakes and servo-brakes imports increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Belarus (+7.1% per year) and Uzbekistan (+73.7% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, with an increase of 14% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a pronounced decrease. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+33.3%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the import price figures.
