In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest calendering machine supplier in the CIS, comprising 80% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Belarus ($X), with a 15% share of total exports.

In Russia, calendering machine exports expanded at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Belarus (+17.6% per year) and Armenia (-1.2% per year).

Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 170%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, calendering machine imports shrank significantly to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 95% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
