Russia dominates imports structure, resulting at X units, which was near 90% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Azerbaijan (X units), constituting a 5.1% share of total imports. Kazakhstan (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of +14.3% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Azerbaijan (+14.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Azerbaijan emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the CIS, with a CAGR of +14.9% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Kazakhstan (-10.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Russia (+28 p.p.) and Azerbaijan (+1.7 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Kazakhstan saw its share reduced by -9.9% from 2012 to 2021, respectively.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported civil reaction engines in the CIS, comprising 97% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Azerbaijan ($X), with a 0.8% share of total imports.
