Export price indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when the export price increased by 69% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 20% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, computing machinery imports soared to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a modest expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +117.0% against 2016 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 38% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Russia (X tons) represented the largest importer of computing machinery and parts and accessories thereof, committing 80% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Kazakhstan (X tons), constituting an 11% share of total imports. The following importers - Belarus (X tons) and Uzbekistan (X tons) - together made up 5.1% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to computing machinery imports into Russia stood at -3.7%. At the same time, Uzbekistan (+17.2%) displayed positive paces of growth.
