The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 33% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Belarus was the main importer of denatured ethyl alcohol and other denatured spirits in the CIS, with the volume of imports finishing at X tons, which was near 55% of total imports in 2021. In 2021, the import price in the CIS amounted to $X per ton, surging by 30% against the previous year. Import price indicated notable growth from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, denatured ethyl alcohol import price increased by +60.4% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 71%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the maximum in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
