By contrast, Kazakhstan (-10.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Russia (+18 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Belarus (-2.3 p.p.), Armenia (-2.4 p.p.) and Kazakhstan (-11.8 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported dental drill engines in the CIS, comprising 84% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Kazakhstan ($X), with a 4% share of total imports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 2.6% share.

In Russia, dental drill engine imports increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Kazakhstan (-4.2% per year) and Belarus (+0.4% per year).
